Another "long time since" entry....

Had been watching the forcasts all week and decided to give it a go today. JaneBo did not, so she got the task of looking after the sprog!

Wind seemed weak compared to forecast and the action across the other side of the harbour. I rigged "safe" with the 6.7M and not the 8M.

First run took me in a strange direction for Poole. Jumped off to adjust my harness lines and went well over my head...strange as the tide was almost completely out!

Completely fluffed the waterstart so chickened out and uphauled (how long since?!?!?!?!?!?). Sailed back and found I had damaged (split) my sail on the first run of the day :-(

Decided to carry on and had a few poor runs. Then looped around a kitesurfer and screamed out into the harbour.....fantastic! Dropped into water and was way out of my depth again. Flunked waterstart again. Uphauled...again....

Flew back accross harbour for 200 yards and then catapulted as the fin hit the bottom.

I then got caught in odd circumstances. I was sailing out and back on a similar track to many (8?) others. However, whenever I fell in during a run I was completely out of my depth and whenever I got "going" the fin would ground out and I would be catapulted. All the others seemed to be sailing fine and when they stopped they seemed to be able to stand up OK.......?!?!?!?!?!?!? Maybe I have very short legs and a very long fin :-)

Eventually fell on the sail and enlarged the split to a "hole" so headed for home....

Could have been a really pants day, but got a good nights sleep last night (lad has been playing up recently) and felt proud that I had made the effort on an obviously winters day...Also managed some good runs despite adversity and kit damage!

Should it be two or three stars???? Read on and find out what I decided....
